Waters Edge is a charming historic home in Italianate style, built in 1851. Our location in the picturesque Village of Greene, means shopping, dining and conveniences are within walking distance.
Greene, billed as an “Arts and Antiques Community” offers many antique shops, an art gallery, specialty shops, a variety of restaurants, a near by golf course, and an airport. The house is located on the bank of the Chenango River, at the site of the first bridge ever to cross it.
Owned by one family for more than 110 years, the house retains much of its original character and incorporates modern comfort and amenities.
Waters Edge has an exceptional river view, which may be enjoyed from the glass-enclosed breakfast room. Guests are welcome to visit the landscaped grounds, which feature native shrubs and flowers. Wrap-around porches invite relaxation, furnishings are period antiques, in an informal country style.
Our emphasis is on personal attention, with assistance available as you desire.
For example, we can help you plan your trip, and make your local stay that much more enjoyable, or simply provide that much-needed escape from routine, free from interruptions.
Waters Edge facilities are also available for your special events.
